Risk Disclosure
Key risks you should understand before investing.
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully.
Market risk
The value of equity and equity-oriented investments changes with stock market movements. You may receive less than you invested.
Interest-rate risk
Prices of bonds held by debt schemes fall when interest rates rise, and longer-duration schemes are more sensitive.
Credit risk
An issuer of a bond or a fixed deposit may delay or fail to pay interest or principal. Corporate deposits are not insured by DICGC.
Liquidity risk
Some securities may be hard to sell quickly. Lock-ins (ELSS, tax-saver deposits) and exit loads also affect access to money.
Concentration and sector risk
Sectoral, thematic and small-cap schemes can be more volatile than diversified schemes.
Inflation and reinvestment risk
Returns may not keep pace with inflation, and maturing money may have to be reinvested at lower rates.
Currency and overseas risk
International schemes and NRI investments are affected by exchange rates and foreign regulations.
Riskometer
Every scheme carries a riskometer from Low to Very High, and a potential risk class matrix for debt schemes. These can change monthly. Check the current levels before investing.
Insurance
Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. Policies have exclusions, waiting periods and conditions; non-disclosure can lead to claim rejection. Market-linked insurance plans carry investment risk borne by the policyholder.
