Bonds and market products, through Nuvama Wealth
RAH Associates has been a working partner of Nuvama Wealth since 15 July 2025, which lets us offer NCDs, capital gain bonds, gold bonds and demat account opening.
These products suit different needs. NCDs pay a fixed coupon over a set term. Capital gain bonds under section 54EC are used to save long-term capital gains tax on property, within the limits and the six-month window the law allows. Gold bonds give exposure to gold without holding metal. A demat account is simply the account these instruments sit in.
Bonds and NCDs carry the credit risk of the issuer, and the market price of a listed bond moves with interest rates. Tax treatment depends on the product and your own situation, so confirm with your tax adviser. Read the offer document before investing.

What is a capital gain bond?
Bonds under section 54EC that let you save long-term capital gains tax on property, if invested within six months of the sale and within the limit specified in the Income Tax Act.
Is a demat account necessary?

Are returns guaranteed?
A bond pays the coupon stated in its terms, but that depends on the issuer honouring it. There is credit risk, and the market price of a listed bond changes with interest rates.
